CHF International, a US-based development organization is seeking to register construction firms with minimum grade level 5 qualifications (Indonesian Construction Services Association / LPJK qualification) for the infrastructure implementation for Healthy Markets Program in Makassar, South Sulawesi. 
Depending on available funding, contracts are anticipated to be awarded for the construction and rehabilitation of the selected traditional markets in Makassar municipality, with focus in the poultry section area. Contracts may be awarded for steel/concrete structure, integrated water supply and drainage system and waste treatment facility (solid and/or liquid)

The closing date for submission of pre-qualification form along with proof of work experience of the contractor is on Monday, December 28th, 2009 at 4:00 PM.

CHF International handover solar powered water system in Pulot Village, Aceh Besar PDF Print E-mail

 On December 18, 2008 CHF signaled the completion its $11.5 million USAID-funded portion of the “High Impact for the Revitalization of the Economy of Aceh (HIRE-Aceh)” program with the handover of a solar powered water system in Pulot Village, Aceh Besar. The system serves over 100 households of which 60 were built by CHF in 2006-2007. The system is innovative, bringing appropriate technology to a village setting that will ensure pumping power is available without extensive community maintenance requirements, something that will ensure independent site-generated water to the village for years to come.
