The Lhok Kruet market is the 14th market CHF has built in Aceh and the 11th built with funding from ARC. A total of between 20 and 30 vendors will work at the market, and are now organized into a market management committee dedicated to a well kept and prosperous market facility. Lhok Kruet Market is the third market CHF has completed in Aceh Jaya. The other two are Rigah Market and Kreung Sabee Market, both are near Calang- Aceh Jaya.

The construction completion marks the “end of the beginning” with the market, but heralds in now a phase of collaboration with vendors and the community to ensure that the market is vibrant and a productive asset for the area. CHF is looking forward to moving ahead in collaboration with the various market stakeholders. CHF ‘s Paul Drossou said, “We hope that the market vendors, local government and people of Lhok Kruet will work together to make the new market a clean and healthy success.”
