To commemorate the Yogyakarta and Central Java Earthquake 1st Anniversary, TTN (Tim Teknis Nasional / National Technical Team) held an exhibition at Jogyakarta Expo Center (JEC) on May 25 – 27, 2007. There were 113 booths at the exhibition from 79 different institutions, including 12 central government institutions, 14 local government institutions, 33 NGOs and education institutions, and 6 economic institutions and banks.
CHF International - Indonesia's boot at the exhibition The exhibition was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Boediono, Minister of Economics of The Republic of Indonesia; Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, Governor of Yogyakarta; and Mardiyanto, Governor of Central Java Province.
During the exhibition, CHF International displayed our post-earthquake activities through pictures, posters, brochures and information sheets. These materials demonstrated all aspects of CHF programming, including transitional shelters, community outreach activities, and livelihoods support through sustainable agriculture and integrated farming system training. In addition, CHF demonstrated models of our core house and associated brick-making activities, producing bricks from recycled debris and rice husks. Information was also available on community water and sanitation activities, and the Bantul Production center, where CHF prefabricates thousands of transitional shelters. The display also included several three- dimension models of the transitional shelters and core house.
